Spatial Computing & VisionOS Software Development
The Next Paradigm in Human-Computer Interaction
For 40 years, we have been trapped behind flat, two-dimensional screens. With the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro and the Meta Quest 3, the digital world is breaking out of the monitor and entering our physical reality. This is Spatial Computing.
Enterprise companies are rapidly adopting this technology—not for gaming, but for massive productivity gains. Surgeons are overlaying 3D MRI scans onto patients during operations. Automotive engineers are collaboratively designing full-scale 3D engines in virtual conference rooms.
At DevApps Technology, we engineer immersive, high-performance Spatial Computing applications designed specifically for enterprise workflows.
Our Spatial Computing Capabilities
1. Apple VisionOS App Development (Swift & RealityKit)
The Apple Vision Pro represents the absolute pinnacle of spatial hardware. We architect native VisionOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and RealityKit. We leverage eye-tracking and micro-hand-gesture APIs to create frictionless, hyper-realistic enterprise applications, ranging from multi-monitor virtual trading desks to surgical planning software.
2. Multi-Platform WebXR (Next.js & Three.js)
If you do not want to lock your application into the Apple ecosystem, we build WebXR experiences. We integrate WebGL and Three.js directly into your Next.js application. This allows users to access highly immersive AR/VR environments directly through the Safari or Chrome browser on any headset (Apple, Meta, or HTC), without downloading a native app.
3. Industrial Training Simulators
We build highly realistic VR training simulators for high-risk industries (Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Aviation). Using Unity or Unreal Engine, we replicate physics perfectly. New employees can practice shutting down a burning oil rig valve in virtual reality 100 times, safely building muscle memory before they ever step onto a real, dangerous rig.
4. 3D E-Commerce and Virtual Showrooms
We transition retail brands from 2D catalogs to immersive spatial showrooms. Customers wearing headsets can walk through a full-scale virtual living room, place a digital 3D couch into their actual physical room (Augmented Reality), and purchase it via a secure spatial checkout flow.
The Spatial Tech Stack
Building for the Z-axis requires an entirely different engineering toolkit.
- Native Apple: Swift, RealityKit, ARKit, Metal.
- Web-Based 3D: React Three Fiber, Three.js, WebGL, WebXR API.
- Game Engines (High-Fidelity): Unity (C#), Unreal Engine 5 (C++).
- Backend Infrastructure: Node.js, WebRTC (for real-time multiplayer spatial syncing), PostgreSQL.
The Challenge of Spatial UX
In a traditional web app, a button sits in the top right corner. In Spatial Computing, the user might be looking at the ceiling, or walking around the room.
We apply profound Spatial UX/UI Principles:
- Z-Depth Hierarchy: We place critical UI panels close to the user, and ambient data further back, using natural depth-of-field to reduce cognitive load.
- Gaze and Pinch: We optimize hit-boxes for eye-tracking. If a button is too small, the user's eye will struggle to lock onto it.
- Physical Anchoring: We use LiDAR sensors to detect the user's physical desk or walls, and we mathematically anchor digital objects to those real-world surfaces so they don't float unnaturally in mid-air.
