IoT Software Development Company in the USA
DevApps Technology engineers scalable IoT (Internet of Things) software architectures. We build Node.js backends for smart sensors, telemetry, and IIoT.

Bridging the Physical and the Digital

A standard SaaS application is relatively simple: a human clicks a button on their laptop, and the database updates.

The Internet of Things (IoT) introduces a radically different engineering challenge. Instead of 1,000 humans clicking buttons, you have 50,000 physical hardware sensors—thermostats, GPS trackers on semi-trucks, and robotic arms—streaming millions of data points every single second over unstable cellular networks.

A standard Node.js server backed by PostgreSQL will instantly collapse under this tsunami of high-frequency telemetry data.

At DevApps Technology, we are a premier IoT Software Development Company. We architect highly specialized, ultra-resilient software platforms capable of ingesting, analyzing, and reacting to massive hardware data streams in real-time.

Our IoT Engineering Capabilities

1. High-Frequency Telemetry Ingestion (MQTT)

IoT devices do not use standard HTTP protocols. HTTP requires establishing a bulky TLS handshake for every request, which drains the batteries of small sensors in days. We engineer our backends using the MQTT Protocol. This lightweight, publish/subscribe architecture allows 100,000 temperature sensors to stream data constantly over a single, persistent WebSocket connection, extending sensor battery life by years.

2. Time-Series Databases (TSDB)

You cannot store 50 million temperature readings a day in a standard relational database. We utilize specialized Time-Series Databases like InfluxDB or TimescaleDB. These databases are mathematically optimized to ingest massive streams of timestamped data and instantly query trends (e.g., "Calculate the average engine temperature of Truck #452 over the last 30 days").

3. Industrial IoT (IIoT) & Smart Factories

We integrate software directly into manufacturing assembly lines. We write code that talks to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) via OPC-UA protocols. If a vibration sensor on a massive hydraulic press detects an anomaly, our software can automatically trigger a localized Edge Computing shutdown sequence to prevent a catastrophic machine failure before it happens.

4. Over-The-Air (OTA) Firmware Updates

When you deploy 10,000 smart water meters across a city, you cannot send a technician to plug a USB drive into every single one to update the software. We build secure OTA Update Pipelines. Our cloud backend securely cryptographically signs a new firmware binary and broadcasts it over the cellular network, silently upgrading all 10,000 devices simultaneously.

The DevApps IoT Tech Stack

  • Edge/Device Code: C++, Rust, Python.
  • Communication Protocols: MQTT, CoAP, WebSocket, OPC-UA, LoRaWAN.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Kafka (for event streaming).
  • Databases: InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, Redis, DynamoDB.
  • User Dashboards: Next.js, React, WebGL (for 3D Digital Twins).

Beautiful Dashboards for Complex Data

Hardware is useless without actionable insights. We build stunning React (Next.js) web dashboards for your operations team. Instead of looking at a terminal of raw JSON data, your team sees a real-time, interactive map of every truck in the fleet, or a highly detailed graph of energy consumption across an entire factory floor.
